Panic! At The Disco

Panic! is back, exclamation point and all. A lot has changed since their last album Pretty.Odd which dropped back in May 2009. One major change was the departure of two band mates: Ryan Ross (lead-guitarist) and Jon Walker (bassist). But it seems as though that did not stop Panic from making music, and good music at that.

Vice and Virtues is the title of their brand new album, which dropped this past Tuesday. There was a great deal of speculation because their ex-guitarist, Ryan Ross, was the main creator behind all of the bands quirky lyrics, but after listening to Vice and Virtues, both Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith proved that they don't need the lunatic song titles and the eccentric lyrics. They transitioned to using simple but yet meaningful lyrics like on the record "Memories": "Memories, where'd you go? You were all I've ever known. How I missed yesterday and let it fade away."

Overall this is a good progression album for Panic! at the Disco. We've seen them go from emo-punk on A Fever You Can't Sweat Out to folk-rock on Pretty.Odd and then now creating a mixture of both genres on their latest lp. Make sure you check it out! There are plenty summer anthems on that record!

Can't get enough of Panic!? No worries, they're about to head out on a spring tour around the U.S. starting May 20th. Get your tickets now!
