Here Goes Nothing!

A progressive, post hardcore band, formed in NYC, Here Goes Nothing is slowly making their way to the top. They have gone through several obstacles including losing and replacing band members, as well as finding their sound that they have today. Yet, they stop at nothing. HGN encourages everyone to follow their dreams, and to do what they simply love. Currently they are in the studio recording their upcoming EP, and the band will be hanging out at Warped Tour on Saturday July 21st. Give them a listen!

Hey everyone!

 Excuse us for not updating this past Friday. The blog is going to be undergoing a few changes, one of the main changes being that posts will be done every Monday now! We figured why not promote artists and their music in the beginning week rather than the end?! This way you can jam out to catchy tunes throughout your school or work day.

One particular band that has been getting a lot of attention since their song "Slow Show" was featured on Gossip Girl, is The National.They are an indie rock band that formed in 1999 in Cincinnati, Ohio, but are currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Their songs and lyrics are completely different from what we hear on the radio. They manage to put a dark feel to their songs, but yet you can't help but fall in love with their lyrics and melodies. Hear for yourself.....

The band will be touring in the UK, December 7th to the 9th at the ATP festival.

Now, Now

Now, Now, formed in 2003 as Now, Now, Every Children, released their second album on March 6th, 2012, titled "Threads." The band has gone through some changes from their record label, image, name, and even improving their sound. Their new album is no disappointment, but instead will win over listeners. Paper Route

American indie band, Straight out of Nashville, Tennessee, Paper Route is a band like no other. With tracks such as "Wish," "You Kill me," and "Tiger Teeth," one listen and they'll absolutely win you over with their unique sounds. It doesn't stop there, listening to them live is an experience within itself. I had the opportunity to see them last night at Mercury Lounge in NYC, and they make an instant connection with their sounds and vocals with the crowd. Paper Route is currently on tour with Half Noise and Canon Blue.

HalfNoise "Free The House"

Paramore's former drummer, Zac Farro, has teamed up with Jason Clark to form HalfNoise. Influenced by many artists, HalfNoise is able to touch upon various genres to create their own unique sound that captures the audience instantly. Yesterday, they had just released their official music video for "Free The House." Looks like HalfNoise has a lot of potential to move forward in the music industry. They will be joining Paper Route on their tour from various cities along the east coast from June 19th to June 24th.

The CO

Sometimes the best bands out there are those that have not been signed to a record label. The CO, formed in 2005 from Nashville, Tennessee have a genuine passion that is evident throughout their songs. The band consists of lead vocalist, Colin Brace, piano and back-up vocalist Troy Akers, and drummer, Nate Fleming. Together they create honest lyrics of life that can be related by everyone. Recently, their song "Come In Closer" was used in MTV's 16 and Pregnant, as well as "Heartbeat" featured in ABC's Family show Jane By Design. The band is currently in the studio writing for their upcoming album.
