Video of the Week: Paramore - "Monster"
The latest video by Paramore (currently just the three remaining band members: Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor) screams "FARRO BROTHERS! WE DON'T NEED YOU!". With such deep symbolism throughout the whole video relating to the raw lyrics, the band lays still in water during the line "you were my conscience, so solid now you're like water, and we started drowning, not like we'd sink any further" which basically describes the troubles the old Paramore had with the Farro brothers. The concept seems to be Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor in different parts of a hospital and their inner demons (the band when they're performing with white shirts on represents the "monster" inside all of them) are causing all of these explosions to happen and the real Paramore tries to escape their troubles by running away. All of this is deep symbolism for the pain the band felt as a whole when the Farro brothers left and started a big controversy trying to turn Paramore fans against Hayley. But, at the end of the video, it seems as if they've fought all their demons and they have accepted the fact that Paramore is NOT what it used to be, but they can still conquer the music realm regardless. "Don't you ever wonder how we'd survive?! Now that you're GONE, the world is ours". You're damn right Hayley. Long Live Paramore.
