Queen B's Screening of I AM...World Tour

Written by Amanda Denett

Last night, Beyoncé had a private screening of her new concert dvd "I AM WORLD TOUR". The screening was at the School of Visual Arts and I had the privilege of attending this event. Beyoncé has released three amazing dvd 's and every single one makes you feel like you're having a concert in your living room. This one is a little bit different from the others. It's combined footage from all over the world with some up close and personal clips. Beyoncé's "I Am...Sasha Fierce" Tour consisted of 108 shows within 6 continents in just a matter of 12 months. The theatre held about 400 people and everyone received free popcorn, soda, and a sample of her new perfume called "Heat". The lights went out at 6:30 and a spotlight came on in the front. Everyone patiently waited for Queen B to come in. After ten minutes, out walked Beyoncé with her couture dress and five-inch heels. "Hello everybody, thank you so much for coming. I worked for nine months editing this film and I'm very proud of it and I hope you treat this like a concert and dance and have a good time. Have fun guys". And that is exactly what the exclusive crowd did. It really felt like the "I Am...Sasha Fierce" Tour came to the School of Visual Arts.

Beyoncé makes in clear in the opening number "Crazy in Love" that she is the queen and the audience is her people. The dvd also includes the songs "Irreplaceable", "Smash into you", "Video Phone", "If I Were A Boy", and "Halo".  We also get to see some exclusive clips with her mentioning her husband, Jay-Z. This dvd is amazing and mind blowing. You get to witness Beyoncé 's sweat and tears, dedication to performing, and also get the chance to sing-a-long to your favorite tunes!

Make sure to check out the "I Am... World Tour" on Thanksgiving Night at 9:30 pm on ABC. Or, you can buy the dvd on November 26th!
